How to get that hotel feeling at home

Crispy white sheets, tall curtains, soft towels, and scented soaps – check out our tips and easily create a luxurious hotel atmosphere at home!
Hotel feeling in the bedroom

If you want your bedroom to ooze that luxurious hotel feeling, choosing the right textiles will be key. Furnishing with high-quality textiles in neutral colours will get you closer to that clean, soft atmosphere of a hotel room. Skip the bedspread; leave your linens and pillowcases in plain sight – and place a throw by the footboard.

Bright-coloured sheets

A classic hotel look entails snow-white sheets (we say “white as a sheet”, after all). Alternatively, you could go for light linen sheets for a more relaxed style sometimes seen at smaller boutique hotels. If you want a truly authentic hotel feeling, you might want to dust off the old mangle: nothing is quite like freshly wrung and starched bedlinen!

Heaps of cushions

Never skimp on the cushions. You need a generous amount of cushions for a hotel feeling that makes the bed look irresistibly attractive. Lay the foundations with long cushions for good support; follow up with big, soft, and generous cushions; and finish with a classic pillow.
