Weddings, christenings, anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, Christmas...
There are so many different occasions to celebrate and right now is prime season for graduating students, couples who are tying the knot and anniversaries.
Not only does this result in a lot of parties to attend, but there are also quite a few gifts to be bought. Personally I love to give gifts and everything from trying to find the perfect thing to give, to seeing the recipients happy face when they open it, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
My youngest sister just graduated from high school and in Sweden it is a very big occasion in a young person?s life. (I can't believe she is grown up now, it makes me feel like a proper old lady!) I flew in to Stockholm to celebrate with her and with my other very clever sister Isabelle, who just graduated from Dental Hygienist University, so I got the chance to celebrate with the both of them.
This was the perfect opportunity for me to spoil them with some nice gifts. Marina still lives at home; she is a very social young lady and also works a bit as a bartender. So I got her 4 red wine glasses from the beautifully designed "Essence" range from Ittala. Something to start collecting for her future home or to use when she has the girls over for dinner at my parents house.
Isabelle already has her own flat and is pretty sorted for home stuff, so I gave her a tiny pair of gorgeous leaf shaped earrings from Thomas Sabo. They are discreet enough for her to wear to her new job, but nice enough to count as an everyday luxury.
They both loved their gifts and I felt like the best sister ever.
The cherry on top was to sit at breakfast and have my morning coffee out of the stunning mint green "Swedish Grace" mugs from Rörstrand my step mum bought with her gift card I gave her for Christmas. Yay! I'm the master of gift giving!
