Damejeanne Vase from Skultuna, designed by Emma Olbers. The vase is made of brass and grey glass. The inspiration comes from older Damejeanne vases that held large volumes and often had a braided basket around the glass to protect its contents.
Emma Olbers was born and raised in Gothenburg and then moved to Stockholm, where she first taught at Nyckelviken Art School and then at Beckmans Design College. In 1999 she started her own studio and today is Emma Olber's Creative Director for Ire Möbel.
Brass needs to be polished regularly to keep its polished finish. Otherwise, the material will get darker over time and stains may appear from moisture or fingerprints.
