The Brexit transition period ends in 2020, and new rules will be effective from 2021 onwards. As RoyalDesign is a Swedish business located in the EU, we are taking the following steps to keep your shopping as convenient as possible:
1) Shipment and delivery
Shipping times are expected to increase somewhat due to the additional steps required by our carriers. We are compensating for this by upgrading all non-bulky orders to priority shipping. This means you will receive priority shipping for free on orders above £149, and pay the standard shipping rate on orders below that amount.
2) VAT and tariffs
Prices on RoyalDesign will continue to be displayed including VAT, and RoyalDesign will pay any and all import tarriffs which may arise. Tariff invoices for new orders will be sent to and paid by us, so no additional steps are required by you when shopping with us.*
*The fee or invoice may be sent to you if you placed your order before Jan 9th 2021, such as if you purchased a back-order item with a long delivery time. If this is the case, please save your receipts or invoices and contact customer support, and we will compensate you for the full amount. We apologise for this inconvenience.
We're continuously working on improving and broadening our delivery options to make shopping with us more convenient. Normally your order will be shipped once all items are available in stock. However, due to logistic issues your order may be sent in two or more shipments. This will be highlighted in the tracking information that you will receive with your tracking email. Your parcels may arrive at different days and times, but you will always be able to track the shipments on the shipping carriers website.
1) Order confirmation
Shortly after placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation with information on your purchase, as well as the current stock status for all items.
2) Delivery update
If your delivery were to be delayed we will notify you by E-mail with a new estimated lead time from our supplier. The same applies if your products were to be out of stock with our supplier.
3) Shipping confirmation
When your order is shipped from our warehouse you will receive a delivery confirmation by E-mail. In the shipping conrifmation you will receive a tracking link, so that you can follow your order's progress all the way to your home.
4) Text message-notification
Finally, you will be notified by text message (SMS) when your delivery is ready to collect or when it's out for home delivery. Your parcels may arrive at different days and times, but you will always be able to track the shipment on the shipping carriers website.
The delivery times specified for each shipping company below refer to the time after your order has left our warehouse and been handed over to a carrier. Please note that we have a handling time to prepare and package your order before then. You can find details regarding our handling times in our terms & conditions. We are unfortunately unable to affect delivery times after we've handed over your order to a carrier.
These times are the estimates that are provided to us by the carrier and not a guaranteed delivery date. Note that deliveries to rural areas may take longer.
To offer the best packaging and the quickest delivery your order may be sent in two or more shipments. This will be highlighted in the tracking information you will receive with your tracking email. Your parcels may arrive at different days and times, but you will always be able to track the shipment on the shipping carriers website. In this case you will receive sereral deliveries.
Your order may be slightly delayed as a result of the safety measures taken by both governments and our carriers.
You may not be asked for a signature when receiving your delivery. You can find up-to date information on the safety precautions taken by FedEx here.

Shipping time: 2-4 working days (Mainland UK), 2-4 working days (Ireland), 3-5 working days (South Korea)

Shipping time: 2-3 weeks (Mainland UK), 2-4 working days (Ireland), 3-5 working days (South Korea)
The shipping time for large items to the UK is currently significantly longer than orders of small items. This is due to these orders being processed through a different sorting terminal, which is currently experiencing large delays. Orders to Ireland are not affected by this issue.
All orders are shipped with FedEx/TNT home delivery by default. FedEx/TNT offer kerbside delivery, which means you are responsible for bringing the order into your home.

DHL Express delivers your items directly to your door.
Shipping time: 7-9 working days
For certain orders including particularly large items, we ship using DHL Euroconnect. You cannot choose DHL Euroconnect at checkout, as this is determined manually by our warehouse staff. If your order has to be re-booked to be shipped with DHL, that will be visible in your shipment confirmation. Of course, there is no extra charge if your order has to be shippd with DHL. DHL only offers kerbside delivery, which means you are responsible for bringing the order into your home.
