PH 5-4½ is a trumpet-shaped lamp with four shades of spun aluminium from Louis Poulsen, designed by Poul Henningsen. The four-shade system design was created in 1931 with the purpose of developing an alternative to the classic chandeliers as well as increasing the amount of light in the horizontal direction, compared to the usual three-shade lamp that directed the majority of the light downward. The four-shade lamp later received a new design in 1979 by Ebbe Christensen and Sophus Frandsen from Denmark, adding a small blue glare screen and a new matt white lacquered top for a smoother and softer light.
Only EU-version (220V) available.
