In the autumn of 1949, Nisse and Kajsa's innovative String shelf claimed the top prize in Bonniers' esteemed bookcase competition. Crafted from distinctive blue wall panels and robust pine shelves, their creation surpassed 194 entries spanning Europe, the United States, and even Australia. Now, in honor of the String shelf's 75th anniversary, they proudly present a limited series of 1949 shelves, faithfully recreated with the same blue wall panels and solid pine shelves that defined the winning design of 1949.
