Valssi is a beautiful cushion cover from Marimekko with an expressive floral pattern, printed in Helsinki. It is made of cotton, 25% of which is organic and 25% recycled. The undyed surface of the fabric gives a natural and vibrant character, where slight colour variations can occur - making each cushion cover unique. Pattern placement varies as the covers are sewn from whole pieces of fabric.
Created by Aino-Maija Metsola, the Valssi (waltz) pattern features delicate flowers painted with inspiration from balmy summer evenings. The transparent petals give a sense of movement, as if the flowers are dancing to a gentle beat.
