The base of the candlestick is covered with fabric to protect the surface its placed on.
If you take good care of your Hilke-products, they will stay beautiful for a long time.
Care instructions from Hilke:
All our products are handmade from Brass, Nickel-Plated Brass or Marble. These materials need some love to ensure they stay beautiful. Good quality brass and nickel polishes may be used. – However, these polishes may be harmful to marble.
Note the height of our candlesticks. They must be placed on a stable base. Do not leave the room unattended once you have lit the candle. Make sure the candle is out of reach of children and animals.
