Each knife hangs vertically along the wall, which means that they occupy a minimum of space. At the same time, the knife magnet is child proof as the sharp edge is directed inwards. It is very good! Approx.28 cm long, space for 8 knives! The knives are firmly in place! We gave it away as a student gift but have had a similar one for many years now and it is absolutely superb! Can be recommended!
