The Pacha lounge chair from GUBI is an icon of casual elegance - a design born out of the newfound freedom of the 1970s and still feels as contemporary today. Designed by legendary French designer Pierre Paulin in 1975, the armchair symbolises his vision of a softer, more relaxed way of living. Breaking free from traditional furniture legs, Paulin created a low, fluid form that invites you to rest close to the ground - where comfort is always at the centre.

We at Royal Design are particularly fond of this version, upholstered in the expressive Tiger Mountain fabric by Dedar. The jacquard-woven velvet, inspired by Tibetan carpets and woven from 63% viscose and 37% cotton, gives the armchair a deep and vibrant surface that enhances its soft, sculptural shapes. The result is a piece of furniture that combines artistic personality with sophisticated comfort - adding both warmth and character to the room.
