016 Maasto is a dining chair from Vaarnii, designed by Ronan Bouroullec, that celebrates the natural beauty of pine. It combines plywood for strength and lightness with solid pine for durability and comfort. The plywood armrests and clean, pared-down profile make the chair both elegant and functional, with a visually captivating 'super-pine' effect.
The chair is available in wooden or upholstered versions with soft cushions in Alle from Kvadrat, easy to remove for cleaning. Pine is a living material that ages beautifully, developing a warm honey colour over time. Each chair is unique with visible knots and grain, and small marks are signs of life and use that enhance the character.
