With a passion for Scandinavian design
Normann Copenhagen was founded in 1999 by Jan Andersen and Poul Madsen, who remain the company’s owners to this day. With a shared passion for design and a vision to bring something new to the design world, the foundation for Normann Copenhagen was ultimately laid. The starting point was a small shop in Copenhagen where they sold carefully selected design products from various brands.
In 2002, Normann Copenhagen debuted as a design producer when they introduced the Norm 69 lamp, designed by Simon Karkov. Since then, numerous products and design collaborations have followed, and the ever-growing assortment today consists of versatile furniture, decorative lighting, beautiful textiles and innovative home accessories. The products are sold in more than 80 countries worldwide and have received over 80 design awards over the years.
Normann Copenhagen is behind a number of well-known design products for the home, such as the Krenit bowl, Block trolley, Amp lamp and Form chair. From their own design studio in Copenhagen, a young and creative team of designers works to create high-quality design through a blend of craftsmanship and industry. Normann Copenhagen also collaborates with external, established designers as well as new talents from around the world.

A Normann Copenhagen product is characterised by an iconic and recognisable form. Its hallmark is a minimalist design language, characteristic of Scandinavian design, which at the same time conveys personality and character. Design from Normann Copenhagen combines traditional craftsmanship with industrial materials and new production methods.
Normann Copenhagen loves colour. With a broad colour spectrum, there are both neutral shades, bold and vibrant tones, as well as cool Nordic hues inspired by trends from the fashion industry. The collections include multifunctional products that can be used in multiple rooms and suit a wide variety of styles and tastes.
