It is designed by Bertil Vallien who said: "I had two ambitions when I designed Château. Firstly, I wanted to make a glass that a machine could not do, as you could see was handmade. The optics in the cup and the thin glass. My second ambition was to keep the design simple but elegant. "

About the brand

Kosta Boda (originally Kosta Glasbruk) was founded in 1742 by two highly decorated soldiers from the army of legendary King Charles XII: Field Marshall Baron Georg Bogislaus Staël von Holstein and Lieutenant General Anders Koskull. Almost three centuries later, the oldest Swedish glassworks company has also grown to become arguably the best in the country.
