The bench is handcrafted from sustainably sourced Indonesian rattan, shaped and assembled by skilled artisans using traditional techniques. Rattan’s natural flexibility allows it to be bent and formed by hand, resulting in a lightweight yet durable construction. As one of the most sustainable materials used in furniture making, rattan regenerates quickly and requires minimal processing. Sika-Design uses only the highest quality varieties, Tohiti and Manau, to ensure strength and longevity.
