The back of the lamp says "class 2", there is no mention of this on the sides. The "dome" in front is a bit crooked. The lamp is gold, not brass and installation is difficult (you can't get your hands to tighten the screws from behind the lamp). However, the surface is beautiful and doesn't seem flimsy at all.
